JUNIOR JACK & KID CREME
BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY MAY 1ST

After a fairly messy rugby weekend up North, we managed to get back just in time for what would promise to be the only way to see out the bank holiday! As we arrived, the Lamerica residents had already heated things up, and from the balcony we could see liquid coming to life.

After a few quick drinks just to warm us up, we wandered downstairs to be met by the Dub version of this seasons biggest floor filler, and newly formed Lamerica anthem, `Most precious love- blaze ft barbara tucker,
Copyright Dub/Vocal`. A tune that drew a crowd to the floor so early on in the night- Thanks to Craig for that one!!

From this we could see that the Lamerica "regulars" were once again out in force, but it was also refreshing to see lots of new faces, showing the growing appeal of the Lamerica name. Then, taking time out from the escalating atmosphere downstairs, we decided to cruise the VIP room, to be met by an equally lively environment - as Jeremy Newall and Salsoul brought smooth, sexy funk'n'disco to the ears of the Lamericano's, many thanks for such an enjoyable performance.

Another couple of drinks in the VIP bar and we soon had our dancing feet on, with Hopkins pumping out `DJ Technic, Gabryelle.`(another instantly recognised Lamerica anthem) we were soon in the middle of the action, vibing amongst smiles of excitement and anticipation.

1:00 AM and Liquid was about to burst. Lamerica's crew had once again brought all clubbers to musical high, yet this time more so than ever.

Many thanks to you guys for entertaining, and preparing us so well for the rest of the night. And so... Enter Junior Jack and Kid Creme....

It is hard to describe two DJ's whose names are so instantly recognised and respected throughout the world of house. An impeccable performance from JJ and Kid C, with excellent tune selction and technical mixing brilliance, proving their DJ-ing dominance. They brought a cross-section of house, from vocal-led, through chunky latin, to throbbing deep basslines - sending Liquid into more and more of a frenzy as the night
progressed.

All time tune's like Kid Creme's very own "Doing my own thing", and the rarely heard, but always loved "Martin Solveig re-edit of Everything I Do", as well as a brilliant version of Junior Jack's "Stupidisco", were dropped between pulsing bass-riffs and bongo drums from a wide-range of well known artists - too many to mention here.

We managed to take ten minutes out, leaving the dedicated clubbers to their business! Escaping to a packed VIP room, Woody & Zeb were tearing the roof off! Unfortunately, we just missed Mr Young, but trust he outplayed himself as usual.
Again, credit is due to the residents for giving another room with an electric vibe.

As 4:00 was approaching, "E-Samba (Junior Jack)" was dropped, bouncing the room as Lamericano's everywhere bumped to the beat of this classic.

Im sure everyone had as good a time as we did, and we'll see you nutters next time!!

Much Love
Mark "Danger" Lee, and Geraint "The Power" Coles
