One Month One Club Two Bank Holidays

The ethos is simple, lamericapromotions was born out of a love of House music, for the last 22 years jack declared let there be house...... and low and behold in the summer of 1988 a handful of London Soul boys went to the white Island - IBIZA and brought back to blighty this new movement, in fact a lifestyle, House music was born, We waited all week for the weekend, counting down the days, friday could not come sooner. We have celebrated by partying every weekend since, even the odd cheeky mid weeker. For the month of May we at Lamerica will try to re ignite those fires, get those itchy dancing feet moving toward the dance floor once again.

We have all matured, become parents, taken on responsibility, however there is nothing better than to put on your favourite tunes, get the clothes ready and set free with wild abandonment after those first couple of drinks and let loose to all those classic house tracks you have heard time and time again. We all have our favourites that instantly transport us to the middle of the dancefloor once more.

As we get older our priorities change, the credit crunch has put paid to regular nights out for many of us, so we thought we would offer 2 nights in one club over the 2 bank holiday Sundays in May where we can become young again and relive those amazing memories. Wether it was the Loop, 3 wise men, hippo, emporium, city hall, Cardiff Uni and Spice of Life, Lamerica and all the other great nights in Cardiff over the years. Travelling around the country following your favourite DJ'S, going to see superstar DJ'S at One Love in Bristol and Swindon, those legendary Lakota partiesor further a field to Ministry of Sound, boys own, Flying, garage city in London, back to basics in Leeds, Colours in Glasgow or the White Isle.

Well we hope to transport you once again, well twice actually, in th month of May where, over two nights we will celebrate the last 22 years of all things house. This will all take place at Crystal nightclub (the old Soda bar), a boutique nightclub in the heart of Cardiff City centre. A space designed to cater for discerning customers searching for a discreet and private haven to enjoy sublime drinks great company and an unrivaled soundtrack of music.
For these very special events expect anything and everything, our aim will be to create what seems to have slowly been lost, that love of all things House where nothing else matters other than the Company and music.

Music on the night will be anything and everything from the roots of house from the 70’s taking in Soul, Funk, Disco and all those house music classics that changed the way we live and created the scene we know and love today.
