A potted Seamless history . . . .
In 2000 we launched a sideline business, releasing CD compilations to make sophisticated deep house available to a wider audience – namely people who had grown out of clubs and now frequented bars, restaurants and hotels but had grown up on a diet of house music – and two years later, the fully-fledged Seamless Recordings was born, taking the bargrooves compilation series to an international level. Now up to the 9th release, the series, compiled by Ben himself with some help from other members of the extended Seamless family, enjoys a growing fan base and critical acclaim. Wallpaper described the series as “achingly sophisticated” and Loaded magazine describes it as “slinky house loveliness”.

Seamless will be releasing the first of its 12” singles repertoire in the autumn showcasing the best in deep sophisticated house.

The label has over 30 distribution partners worldwide and is produced under license in the US so whether you are shopping in the Philippines or DKNY in New York you will be able to buy the latest collection!

Ben potted history
Following 8 years in advertising, Ben Sowton formed a successful events company producing shows, conferences, tours in the UK and abroad, for an international client list that included, L’Oreal, Bacardi-Brown Forman, MacDonald’s.  Three years ago, along with business partner James Lohan established The White House, the leading late night, members bar and restaurant in south London.
 
Not satisfied with two successful businesses, Ben decided to follow a passion to establish a record label providing the soundtrack for the urban cognoscenti.  Seamless Recordings launched ‘bargrooves’ a compilation series showcasing the best in sophisticated house music for the post club generation described by Wallpaper as ‘achingly sophisticated’.  Now on their 8th release with worldwide distribution taking it as far as Taiwan to South Africa, Seamless will be releasing a further 10 albums over the next 12 months while also venturing into different genres of musical styles.  Finally Seamless is releasing the first of its singles releases in the autumn of this year.
