Jazzy M was the first DJ ever to play at the Ministry of Sound, on the opening night he played before Larry Levan, which was back in 1991. Dance is a scene where each week new genres are invented and fresh DJ’s grab the limelight. It is a testament to Jazzy’s prowess and unblinkered musical taste that after playing the opening night at Ministry of Sound, he remained resident there for 7 years.

Jazzy’s recording career is a long and interesting one that has seen him work with a number of famous recording artists including Paul Weller and The Style Council, Jimmy Sommerville, DC Lee, Arthur Baker and Julian Jonah of 187 Lockdown and DYNK fame. Jazzy’s career holds a huge discography that includes his first ever remix recorded at Gee Street Studios working with the Stereo MC’s, the first release on his own label Oh Zone – Chime by Orbital and his first house production recorded with Larry ‘Mr Fingers’ Herd and Robert Owens – Living in a World of Fantasy.
