BIOGRAPHY - LIQUID PEOPLE

Dan Smith, 29, from Cambridge and Conan Manchester, 30 from Colchester have been producing, remixing and DJing together for the past five years.

 

Remix wise, they have added their unique flavour to such artists as: Mange Le Funk Vs Liquid People talk talk , talking heads (essential new tune), Lucy Pearl, Allsaints, Kidd & Kango High Above (Estereo) Basement Boys, Ashanti, Telepopmuzik, Agent Sumo, Zoom, Mint Royale. Greg Cerrone.

On the DJing side, the boys have played at: Ministry of Sound, Hanover Grand, The End, Café Mambos – savannahs, eldivinos - Ibiza, bed, heaven and visit the decks regularly at Garage City and DJ all over Europe. They also play at the Snowboarding festival in Andora during March every year. Recently they have begun Djing with Defected Records playing on their tours including the far east.


Support for them comes heavily from the US boys - Tony Humphries, Louie Vega and Kenny Dope, The Basement Boys, Spen, Jazz n’ Groove and Tedd Patterson all love their style - whilst Pete Tong (who gave monster there second essential new tune) along with Rampling, Mark Wilkinson, Bobby and Steve, Lottie, Chrissy T, ruppert and Deli G show their support in the UK. I

Influences for them both include everything from Jazz to Disco to Rock – old or new… and anything Hip Hop (“We love our beats” - Conan). Their production style varies depending on what mood they are in – Its all House music. Good House music. With a Hip Hop attitude...
