BIOGRAPHY - NEIL PIERCE Perhaps best known as the face behind the counter at Uptown Records, one of London's most well-known independent record stores, where by day he works in the house and garage section of the shop. Neil has fast become one of the most talked about up-and-coming stars of the UK Soulful House Scene, drawing his influences from the likes of DJ Spen (Basement Boys), Paul Trouble Anderson, Louie Vega (MAW), Tony Humphries and Kerri Chandler to name a few - a typical set can take you from the soulful side of gospel garage to the deepest realms of house music. Neil's biggest break came when he was plucked from almost obscurity to warm up every Wednesday night for Paul 'trouble' Anderson at the loft in Camden's HQ's a few years ago. Since then, Neil has graced the decks at many of the best soulful house nights in the country including Garage City @ Bar Rumba, BBE's weekly night people, Indulge @ Mass (alongside DJ Spen who played a set just for Neil's birthday), Kudos (Sheffield), Garage City's pre New Years Eve party @ Fabric, Flick (Velvet Underground), Rulin (Ministry of Sound), Bonds (Birmingham), Entre Nous @ Rouge and Sunday Best (Nottingham), Audio Deluxe (Edinburgh), Blend (Derby) and House Rules.
