Consequently, this pair became known as the boys from the “Pound” and the Pound Boys name was born.

From there, the studio beckoned the boys. It was time to start doing original productions – playing records of other artists is fantastic, but creating something new and lending your own personality to the music is even more rewarding.

The Boys’ first big break came when they were asked to do remixes of Joi Cardwell’s “You’ve Got To Pray” (Eightball Records) – this song reached Number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Chart. Many original productions as well as remixes for labels such as MCA, Arista, Jive, Warner Bros., Sony, Azuli, King St., & Yellorange to name a few have followed.
