Refunkt Records was launched in April 2002. The man behind the label is Joey Musaphia so the music policy is none other than 100% soulful quality house music.

Having built his name up over the last 12 years with a long list of remixes and productions, Joey decided to launch this new outlet to release his own productions as well as colaborating with other producers and vocalists.

Joey previously owned and ran Ulterior Records for three years alongside Gerald 'G-Club' Elms back in 1996. Together they had releases for Roger Sanchez, DJ Disciple, Michael Watford, Carol Leeming amongst other big household names.

The first offerings on the Refunkt Label are productions with quality vocalists such as Sabrynaah Pope and Joy Malcolm.
